Locker Project Information

The locker project was started in 2003 to provide a place for homeless individuals a place to store thier belongings while searching for employment, housing, and other resources. The lockers are built by homeless individuals and placed in various locations in St. Paul.

There are lockers located at the following Locations:
Safe Zone
Salvation Army East
Dorothy Day Center
Public Storage

Lockers at Safe Zone, Salvation Army and Dorothy Day Center are managed by those organizations and information about those lockers can be found by contacting them.

The lockers at Public Storage are directly run by Voices of Change and informaiton about them is below.

To reach the lockers, walk or take the 16 bus and exit at University and Eustis. (Each person must cover their own bus fare or transportation.  Voices for change will give anyone bus fare or rides.) Walk South on Eustis for 2 long blocks, following the curve. Public Storage has a large orange sign. Walk around the building until you see the first door with a keypad. Enter the key code 64071066* in the keypad. After making sure the door is securely closed proceed up the staircase, and to your left. Once you enter the building, you may not go ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!! You will be trespassed, and may potentially lose your belongings.
